Building a true culture of safety takes more than a policy binder; it takes leaders who've done the work firsthand.
On July 30, HXF's Win Howard, FACHE joins the ACHE Chapters Virtual Education Collaborative Summer Series as a featured panelist for "Leading a Culture of Safety: A Blueprint for Success." hosted by the Washington State Chapter of ACHE.
The panel discussion will explore what it really takes to build and sustain a culture of safety: naming the difference between human error and at-risk behavior, sustaining safety metrics long after the initiative ends, and confronting burnout before it compromises care.
Win spent 35+ years in healthcare leadership, including 15+ years as a hospital CEO—helping drive six consecutive years of CMS 5-Star ratings, top-decile workforce engagement, and a decade-long distinction as a 15 Top Health System along the way. He started his career as a Radiologic Technologist, so he's led safety work from the bedside and the boardroom.
