Healthcare Experience Foundation Launches Quality & Safety Accelerator, Names Valerie Gale-Moffitt as Vice President, Head of Quality & Safety

Pensacola, Fla. — February 1, 2026 — Healthcare Experience Foundation (HXF), an executive learning and development consultancy dedicated to shaping cultures so every person can receive and deliver the best possible healthcare, today announced the appointment of Valerie Gale-Moffitt as Vice President, Head of Quality & Safety, and the launch of the HXF Quality & Safety Accelerator — a newly established practice area designed to help hospitals and health system leaders design, build, augment and sustain quality and safety excellence within their organizations.

The Quality & Safety Accelerator draws on a team of specialists with years of experience across complex health systems and clinical settings. The practice offers three sub-specialties: Culture of Safety & High Reliability, Quality & Clinical Excellence & Care Continuum & Patient Journeys. Together, these offerings help hospital and health system leaders establish infrastructure for efficiency and effectiveness, strengthen publicly reported measures, improve Leapfrog scores, and sustain quality care across patient journeys and interdepartmental transitions.

“The launch of our Quality & Safety Accelerator represents a defining expansion of what Healthcare Experience Foundation offers the healthcare leaders we serve,” said Katie Owens, chief executive officer of Healthcare Experience Foundation. “Valerie is exactly the right leader to build and lead this practice. Her decades of clinical expertise, her track record of driving measurable outcomes across some of the nation’s most complex health systems, and her genuine passion for people make her an extraordinary asset to HXF and to the organizations we partner with.”

A registered nurse and transformational healthcare leader, Gale-Moffitt brings more than 30 years of experience leading quality and safety initiatives across North Texas health systems, including Baylor Scott & White, HCA, Methodist Health System and Texas Health Resources. Her career achievements include zero-finding Joint Commission surveys and driving organizational pursuit of the Malcolm Baldrige Award. She has held system-level vice president roles at Methodist Health System, Texas Health Resources and The Medical Center for Plano (now Medical City Plano), where she oversaw clinical effectiveness, patient safety and performance improvement functions.

Her influence extends to the national level. As Vice President of Clinical Excellence at Nomad Health and Head of Credentialing Quality Solutions at AMN Healthcare, Gale-Moffitt ensured the safe, rapid deployment of thousands of clinicians during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. She also spearheaded a clinician educational initiative that earned national recognition from the American Staffing Association for excellence and innovation in workforce training.

“Quality and safety are not simply regulatory requirements or compliance exercises — they are the foundation upon which trust in healthcare is built,” said Gale-Moffitt. “Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside both leaders and frontline caregivers to help close the gap between where organizations are and where they aspire to be. I’m deeply honored to bring that work to Healthcare Experience Foundation and to help build a practice that provides health systems with thoughtful partnership, practical guidance, and the implementation support needed to create meaningful, lasting change.”

In her role, Gale-Moffitt leads the development and delivery of the Quality & Safety Accelerator’s suite of solutions, working with hospital and health system leaders to diagnose performance gaps, implement improvement strategies and execute development plans designed to sustain ongoing results. She also serves as an executive coach, equipping leaders with the knowledge, skills and tactics to elevate patient experience, operational performance and staff engagement.

Gale-Moffitt holds a master’s degree in organizational management with a concentration in healthcare from Dallas Baptist University, where she also served as an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Business. She is a published author and holds a certification in servant leadership through The Ken Blanchard Companies. She is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
